ATIVIDADES MINISTERIAIS EXERCIDAS
PRACTIRED MINISTERIAL ACTIVITIES
Antes mesmo de ser consagrado ao Ministério Pastoral, o Pastor Moysés Barbosa sempre foi evangelista, inclusive entre 1969 e 1992 coordenou a Cruzada Evangélica de Reconciliação Monte Sinai, um ministério pessoal desenvolvido no Estado do Rio de Janeiro, com a participação de colegas evangelistas, presbíteros, diáconos, basicamente e, também de alguns pastores convidados, mediante conferências em Igrejas Evangélicas, a franco de pagamento, correndo todas as despesas às suas expensas. Neste período publicou o Informativo Evangélico, que encaminhava gratuitamente a todas as igrejas evangélicas da região centro-sul do campo fluminense. Como coordenador da Cruzada foi inúmeras vezes homenageado pelas igrejas e seus obreiros, pela excelência do ministério que exercia.

Dr. Moyses Barbosa was always evangelist, inclusive between 1969 and 1992 coordinated the Mount Sinai Crusade Evangelic Of Reconciliation, a personal ministry in the Rio de Janeiro, with colleagues participation evangelist, priests, deacons, basically, and also colleagues invited shepherds, with conferences in evangelic churches, to franc of payment and dealing with all the expenses. Após a consagração pastoral, que se deu em 03/09/94, na Primeira Igreja Batista de Três Rios, em concilio presidido pelo Pastor Itamar Francisco de Souza, foi Pastor-Auxiliar na referida Igreja, cooperando com a congregação de Penha Longa, um distrito do município de Chiador (MG) e, paralelamente, exercendo o cargo de Diretor Acadêmico e Capelão do Campus do Seminário Unido em Três Rios, até assumir em 26/03/95 a liderança da Igreja Batista de Astréa, zona rural de Carmo-RJ (mais tarde passou a chamar-se Segunda Igreja Batista de Carmo, com templo no perímetro urbano, mais exatamente no bairro Botafogo), ministério que exerceu até 1º de abril de 2006, de onde pediu exoneração em razão de enfermidade em pessoa de sua família. Ao deixar tal ministério recebeu o título de Pastor Emérito. Mesmo exercendo liderança em Carmo, colaborou com a Missão Batista de Itaipava, mantida pela Segunda Igreja Batista de Petrópolis (Pastor Dr. Edelto Barreto Antunes), nos anos de 1999 a 2001, período em que, também, foi Conselheiro Espiritual e Capelão do Projeto Vida Nova, em Três Rios-RJ (instituição para recuperação de viciados em drogas e álcool do sexo masculino).

Ao exonerar-se as SIB de Carmo integrou-se ao grupo de irmãos que freqüentavam uma congregação da SIB de Petrópolis em Três Rios, que a organizou como 7ª Igreja Batista de Três Rios, no dia 15/05/06, liderada pelo Pastor David Cândido Mesquita. O Pastor Moysés na eleição da primeira diretoria da nova Igreja foi eleito como Vice-Presidente, cargo em que permanece dando sua parcela de colaboração à obra do Senhor.

David Cândido Mesquita. The Pr. Dr. Moyses Barbosa, in the election of the first Directorship, was elected 2º President, post in which it keeps on giving his contribution to the God’s work.
Na Ordem dos Pastores Evangélicos do Município de Três Rios - ORPEMTRI já ocupou os cargos de Assessor Jurídico, Secretário Executivo e Diretor 1º Secretário.

O Pastor Moysés é professor de Ciências Exatas, com registro no MEC, habilitação que na verdade nunca exerceu, eis que sempre teve afeição pelas atividades da Comunicação, com ênfase para a redação. Assim, foi professor de redação no Colégio Ruy Barbosa e de outras disciplinas correlatas nos Colégios Entre-Rios e Walter Francklin, todos de Três Rios (RJ). Inclusive como professor de comunicação (autodidata) participou de um concurso nacional de ensino de redação, patrocinado pelo MEC, tendo sido um dos finalistas do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, recebendo manifestação de mérito da Secretaria Estadual de Educação. Concorreu com o livro de sua autoria intitulado Redação Moderna (Volume I), destinado a estudantes de primeiro grau.
The Pr. Dr. Moyses Barbosa is a teacher of Right Sciences, with register in the MEC (Ministry of Education and Culture), competence what in fact never practiced, since it always took affection as the activities of the Communication, with emphasis for the editorial staff. So, he was a teacher of editorial staff of the College Ruy Barbosa and of other disciplines correlates in the Colleges Entre-Rios and Walter Francklin, all in Tres Rios (RJ). Including like teacher of editorial staff (self-taught person) it participated of a national contest of teaching of editorial staff, sponsored by the MEC (Ministry of Education and Culture), having one of the finalists been in the State of the Rio de Janeiro, receiving demonstration of merit of the State General office of Education. It competed with the book of his authorship entitled Modern Editorial staff (Vol. I), destined for students of 1st cycle.
Afeito à literatura, lançou um livro de poesias (Solidão), no qual consta referência feita pelo grande poeta evangélico Pereira de Assunção e também palavra da Academia Trirriense de Letras e Artes-ATLAS, que lhe concedeu Diploma de Congratulações e Mérito.
Accustomed to the literature, there launched a book of poetries (Solitude), in which there says reference done by the great poet evangelic Pereira de Assunção and also for the Academy of Letters and Arts of Tres Rios-ATLAS that it granted to him Certificate of Congratulations and Merit.
Ainda por conta de sua veia artistico-literária participou de concurso de poemas na Câmara Municipal de Três Rios, com trabalhos versando sobre a cidade, tendo o seu poema intitulado TRÊS RIOS-CIDADE MODELO recebido Diploma de Mérito e Medalha Rotary Club.

Por ocasião do serviço militar, na Academia Militar de Agulhas Negras-AMAN, nos idos de 1960, atuou sempre em atividades burocráticas, pela facilidade de escrever rapidamente descoberta pelos superiores, que o deslocaram para o gabinete do comando, onde foi secretário do General Emilio Garrastazu Médici, que viria a ser Presidente da República no regime pós-Revolução de 1964. Seus labores incluíam passar a limpo, em papel linho, com esmerada datilografia, as correspondências oficiais e pessoais do General, na maioria das vezes rascunhadas em inglês, quando destinadas a autoridades de outros países.
