Na Faculdade de Ciências Teológicas Shemmah Brasil, em Salvador, recebeu o titulo de doutor em Direito Eclesiástico, depois que teve seu curriculo analisado pela direção acadêmica, que levou em conta principalmente seus conhecimentos de direito canônico.

Em 1988, quando completou vinte anos de atuação na área, recebeu da Prefeitura Municipal de sua cidade uma diplomação, acompanhada de medalha do Lions Club, também participante da homenagem. Em 2008, ao completar quarenta anos na produção jornalística, foi diplomado com uma lauda muito significativa expedida pela Cruzada Mundial de Literatura, organização evangelística internacional com sede em São Paulo.+Dom Moysés continua atuando na área, e sempre se atualizando, tendo realizado recentemente alguns cursos especiais, que incluem o de Assessoria de Imprensa.
