O Pastor Dr. Moysés Barbosa sempre foi homem de imprensa, produzindo noticiários, geral e evangélico, e assim colaborando com inúmeros jornais, entre os quais O Jornal Batista, numa trajetória que já completou 40 anos e o fez merecedor do diploma de MÉRITO JORNALÍSTICO expedido pela Cruzada Mundial de Literatura, organização internacional. Quando completou 20 anos de atuação na imprensa, em 1988, foi distinguido com Diploma-Homenagem da Prefeitura Municipal acompanhado de medalha do Lions. Em 2008, por sua reconhecida atuação na imprensa regional, incentivando e divulgando as práticas esportivas, foi condecorado pelo programa de TV Esporte em Dimensão Total, com a medalha Jubileu de Ouro da 1ª Vitória da Seleção Brasileira de Futebol na Copa do Mundo.

The Pr. O Comendador Fabrício Santos é o Delegado Estadual de Cultura para a Macrorregião da Zona da Mata Mineira, que reúne 142 cidades. A eleição se deu na Assembléia Legislativa de Minas Gerais no dia 04/12/09, durante a realização da II Conferência Estadual de Cultura do Estado. Na primeira quinzena de março de 2010 Fabrício Santos estará em Brasilia, representando sua região na Segunda Conferência Nacional de Cultura. Parabéns. Deus esteja capacitando cada vez mais.
The Commander Fabrício Santos is the Delegate State for Culture Macroregion Zona da Mata Mineira, which includes 142 cities. The election took place in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario on 04/12/09, during the Second State Conference of Culture of the State. Baptist Churches of Brazil Send Missionaries to Chile 
Um grupo de 33 voluntários brasileiros de igrejas batistas dos estados de São Paulo, Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso e Bahia participou de uma viagem missionária ao CHILE, sob coordenação da Primeira Igreja Batista de Dourados (MS).
A group of 33 Brazilian volunteers of Baptist churches in the states of Sao Paulo, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso and Bahia participated in a mission trip to Chile, under the coordination of the First Baptist Church of Dourados (MS).
Os voluntários estiveram em Iquique, Arica e em Pozo Almonte.
The volunteers were in Iquique, Arica and Pozo Almonte.
O objetivo foi dar apoio à família do missionário William Carrilho da Silva e sua esposa e filhos, da Junta de Missões Mundiais da Convenção Batista Brasileira, à qual pertence o Presidente do “International Ministry”. Esta família missionária deverá ser transferida para a Malásia em abril próximo e outros evangelizadores assumirão a lacuna que se abrirá no Chile. (Resumo extraído de OJB – 28/02/10).
The objective was to support the family of the missionary William Carrilho da Silva and his wife and children, the Board of World Missions of the Brazilian Baptist Convention, which belongs to the President of the “International Ministry”. Com nova e moderna estrutura de trabalho, a Cidade Administrativa Presidente Tancredo Neves construída pelo Governador Aécio Neves recebe hoje, 22/02/10, o primeiro grupo de servidores para inaugurar os trabalhos na nova sede do Governo de Minas. Cerca de 1.800 pessoas das Secretarias de Estado de Planejamento e Gestão e Governo e, também, do Gabinete Militar serão transferidos nesta data.

On 21/04/09, at Praça Tiradentes, a major tourist destination of Ouro Preto, was held over a ceremony commemorating the anniversary of Inconfidence Mining, with award of the Medal of Inconfidence, the highest commendation from the Government of Minas Gerais, several personalities, among them Lucia Menezes de Oliveira, grandson of Tiradentes.
